Founder of “The NGO World” Mr. Zafar Iqbal Nominated as
Honorary Ambassador for Pakistan.
International body on World NGO Day initiative has nominated Mr. Zafar Iqbal as Honorary Ambassador for Pakistan. Mr. Zafar Iqbal is Founder of a credible worldwide online forum of professionals from civil society titled as “The NGO World.
In a statement Mr. Marcis Skadmanis Initiator & Executive Director World NGO Day Initiative’s Secretariat – UK Office) has mentioned that “World NGO Day – New International Day, which aims to secure passing of a UN General Assembly resolution to establish and acknowledge this as an official international day. We have found the The NGO World is an important platform that engages the civil society. We think your work is important for everyone, especially for NGOs and civil society. Following the World NGO Day Initiative meeting with the UNESCO Assistant General-Director and Executives of the NGO Section, Liaisons Committee of UNESCO in France, January 2013, we have been instructed to invite various civil society leaders from 5 continents as a honorary ambassadors. Having taking into account your vast amount of experience within the civil society sector which is very important for all, we would be honoured to invite Mr. Zafar Iqbal to become an Honorary Ambassador of the World NGO Day Initiative”.
The other important person who is nominated for this position is Doctor Mahbub Hussain executive director at world largest organization BRAC from Bangladesh.
It is also important to report that Mr. Zafar Iqbal has also established a foundation in Pakistan which was able to help more than three hundred thousand (300,000) flood affected families of southern Punjab districts.

The NGO World has decided to issue a monthly NEWSLETTER initially in soft, starting 1st addition from May, 2012 in which all the key players generally and NGOs Personnel particularly, can send freely and without any charges their periodic reports, activity reports, case studies, success stories, best practices, innovative ideas, project introduction, event updates and organizational opportunities available. Newsletter will be published & issued during 1st week of every month.

Send Your Material:

Your material should not be more than one page of MS word (A4 size) along with 1-2 pictures. Material should be sent at before 25th of every month. Sender should include his name, designation, organization name, website, phone and office address.

Newsletter will be shared effectively with donors, UN agencies, research institutions and all concerned stakeholders of NGO sector.
